Rutgers football recruiting update for the week of 11/29

Committed Players

Oh no! Blake Rankin is injuredHe was having a great season too.

Carlton Agudosi is a big play threat.

Uncommitted Players

What's going on with NJ OL Ryan Brodie?

NJ QB Devin Fuller is going to the Army AA Bowl.

'13 NJ DL Alquadin Muhammad is following on the heels of Darius Hamilton at Don Bosco.

NJ S Elijah Shumate visited South Carolina a few weeks back.

Haven't heard much from NY S Wayne Morgan in a while.

NJ CB Yuri Wright is interested in Ohio State under Urban Meyer. What, the hundreds of Michigan fans committing secondary violations by tweeting him weren't convincing?

Star-divide

'13 NJ QB Kevin Olsen is getting a lot of hype. Christian Hackenberg is another QB in next year's class claiming an offer.

'13 NJ CB Nadir Barnwell has an early RU offer.

So does '13 NJ ATH Rashad Kinlaw.

'13 DL teammates Dajuan Drennon and Greg Webb are blowing up early.

'13 NJ OL Brad Henson has a few early offers.

It was before the scandals, but PA OL J.J. Denman switched from PSU to Wisconsin.

'13 MD LB Zach Bradshaw has some decent mid-level offers.

Random '13 offer: Uriah LeMay.

Watchlist: This is a section of this site's weekly recruiting posts featuring links to players that Rutgers may or may not be showing interest in, but has not yet offered.

Injury

What did Rankin injure? It wasn’t mentioned in the article. Any info?

Good

Glad it isn’t career threatening or anything like that, like his throwing arm or shoulder. He’s so close it would be a shame if he didn’t get his chance at the next level.

Kevin Olsen

Given the situation @ Wayne Hills, should really be recruiting this kid? Five stars or not, will he fit the character requirement?

what?

Who are you talking about and what is their connection with Wayne Hills?

for vinman

Apparently there is a serious disconnect between the school board and the fb coach regarding nine players involved in a “beat-down” on two Wayne Valley kids. He wants them to play in the championship game. I suggest you go to the NSL site for more info.

IMHO the coach has over-stepped his authority and role.

what kid

What kid from Wayne Hills is RU recruiting and was it one of the players allegedly involved in the fight ?

vinman

I believe one recruit is the coach’s son, a QB, a junior. The other I don’t recall the position.

Since all but one of the kid’s is under 18, no names have been published

Thanks

I will keep an eye on the situation. However, I doubt RU would overlook character issues as this isn’t the SEC..

Rutgers needs to build up its pipeline with Don Bosco

If they can do that then here is who they could have over the next three years.
’12 – Carroo, Hamilton, Wright, Shumate, Casimos
’13 – Muhammed, Gross, Carey( OT)
’14 – Peppers, Clark

By just getting hose players they could dramatically improve their team. I am sick of seeing Bosco players end up at BC, Pitt, and Colorado

Why do you care about Rutgers? Weren’t you screaming about Rutgers being responsible for breaking up the Big East and saying we sucked?

by Daniel Joseph on Dec 1, 2011 5:14 PM EST up reply actions

the Pitt connection is dead

BC is on life support. There is no Colorado connection outside of them being delusional.
