Tom's appeal hearing was scheduled for today. The Star-Ledger is reporting that even though the faculty appeals committee voted to not release Savage to Miami or Florida, Coach Schiano relented and removed the transfer restrictions.

This is essentially a moot point now, with all of the media speculation for naught. Tom Savage is free to do as he chooses, which is in stark contrast to Robert Bolden at Penn State. The issue is settled, and now it's time for everyone involved to move on.
