Rutgers football recruiting update for the week of 9/28

QB Mike Bimonte threw for three touchdowns to blow out Middletown North.

RB Ben Martin missed Absegami's last game injured.

TE Tyler Kroft is being described as a very good punter.

LB Andrew Campolattano is not yet at 100%.

LB Kevin Snyder is looking good at running back.

ATH Chevelle Buie averaged 22 yards a carry as Cocoa rolled.

ATH Charles Davis rushed for 76 yards and a touchdown for Neptune, but it wasn't enough against Miles Shuler and Long Branch.

Uncommitted Players

NJ DE Shilique Calhoun has Rutgers in his top 3.

PA DE Branden Jackson and DT Delvin Simmons visited Rutgers for the UNC game.

NJ RB Savon Huggins powered St. Peter's Prep to victory.

NJ QB Tanner McEvoy was alternating big plays and mistakes in Bergen Catholic's blowout win over Teaneck.

RU has offered 2012 NJ DB D.J. Singleton, 2012 NJ DL Darius Hamilton (the son of Keith Hamilton from the Giants, the article is wrong), and the recruiting sites are showing an offer out to 2012 NJ ATH Devin Fuller.

NY DE Ishaq Williams is sure of three visits.

"I have three schools on there for sure and then after that I'm not sure," he said. "I talked about it with my family and coach, and Alabama, Notre Dame and Penn State  are in there no doubt. After that it's still open. I'm hoping to take official visits to some schools but it will be tough, especially if we go as far as I want us to go in the playoffs. I've been to all three of those schools and really learned a lot about them, and feel comfortable with them so that's why they stand out."

NJ WR Damiere Byrd could be leaning towards South Carolina.

MD DB Nico Law has not scheduled an official to RU. MD OL Cyrus Kouandjio isn't mentioning RU. MD OL Donovan Smith is still favoring PSU.

FL WR Andre Davis plans to visit Rutgers. They've also offered his 2012 teammate DE Tyriq McCord.

FL DB Terrell Floyd committed to Louisville. FL DL Giorgio Newberry committed to FSU.
