The Seattle Seahawks waive Mike Teel

+

Teel broke the news via Twitter earlier, and it was later confirmed by Seattle. Unfortunately, while Teel was a favorite of Seattle's old coaching staff, the new Pete Carroll regime did not hold him in as high regard. The writing was probably on the wall once Seattle traded for Charlie Whitehurst, and now they've cut Teel loose after signing J.P. Losman the other day. What's especially odd is that Losman only gives Seattle three QBs on the roster. Teams usually like to bring four to camp, giving leeway to bump the fourth down to the practice squad. At least this gives Mike a head start on finding a new team. For shame Seattle - the man just moved into a new apartment! There were other teams besides the Seahawks that liked Teel in the run up to last year's draft, so now begins the task of finding one willing to bring him to camp. Ideally, he'll land with a stable, winning organization with a need for a reserve QB like the Patriots or Colts.
