Rutgers football recruiting update for the week of 11/2

Committed Players

Before last week TE Tyler Kroft had 23 catches for 481 yards and 5 TDs on the season. He just caught another TD.

LB Quentin Gause made fifteen tackles and recovered a fumble for a TD two weeks ago, and followed up with a big game on the ground.

ATH Charles Davis missed last week with a knee injury.

The latest on ATH Chevelle Buie:

Buie accounted for four of the five Cocoa touchdowns, adding a pair of TD receptions of 3 and 37 yards from quarterback Latravious Campbell. The senior speedster finished with 186 yards rushing on 10 attempts. He now has rushed for 1,004 yards this season.

Uncommitted Players

Kiss of death for Savon Huggins?

But let's be real here, this has become a three-team race between Rutgers (the leader), UNC and Notre Dame.

Mike Farrell also says in that link that RU has a "strong lead" for Miles Shuler, and it also has negative updates on NJ QB Tanner McEvoy and NY DE Ishaq Williams too. Huggins just visited UNC with NJ OL Josue Matias.

Star-divide

NJ DB Sheldon Royster moved up his visit to South Carolina from January to last weekend. My speculation is that's a bad sign, but the key is to get Royster to take his visit and keep working the package deal angle.

Bowling Green offered FL DE Chad Hannah. FL RB Tre Mason isn't mentioning Rutgers. FL WR Andre Davis keeps talking up RU. FL S Corian Hamilton favors WVU. No clue what's up with FL ATH Davonte Allen, but he's not interested anyway.

2012 PA OL Chris Muller claims a RU offer.

If you're in the mood for schadenfreude, maybe Notre Dame's recruiting class will collapse?

MD DB Nico Law committed to Iowa.

Watchlist: This is a section of this site's weekly recruiting posts featuring links to players that Rutgers may or may not be showing interest in, but has not yet offered.

Qua Barnes, Neal Burcham, Jazzmar Clax, Nico D’Angelo, Peter Daibes, Greg JonesGilbert PenaDelon Stephenson, and  Richard Williams.
