NJ-NE Liveblog
It's on Ch. 9 in New York City in case you forgot. Quick primer on players to watch (full rosters):
NJ - RU: #5 Mike Larrow, #9 Logan Ryan, #13 Malcolm Bush, #19 Aaron Hayward, #23 Ka'Lial Glaud, #82 Quron Pratt. Others: #1 Josh Evans (Florida), #4 Carlo Calabrese (ND), #12 Ray Graham (Pitt), #71 Khalil Wilkes (Stanford), #83 Tyree Watkins (Duke).
NE - RU: #34 De'Antwan "Rocket" Williams. Others: #6 Stephen Obeng-Agyapong (PSU), #18 Justin Brown (PSU), #21 Stephon Morris (PSU), #23 Curtis Dukes (PSU), #24 Kevin Pierre-Lewis (BC), #51 Oday Aboushi (UVA), #81 Deon Long (WVU).
The rosters look much more balanced this year with the new format, whereas NJ used to repeatedly hammer New York in the old Governor's Bowls. How much can one garner from these games? Last year's contest was arguably the coming out party for Mohamed Sanu. I also liked what I saw from Pat Kivlehan. Production is nice, but it's useful to get a look at a player's raw measurables (speed, size, etc...) outside of grainy YouTube videos. As always, there isn't 100% participation of every local star, but there's a fair bit of future DI-A talent there today.
Wordpress still doesn't allow embedding these, so please click here to continue and launch the CoverItLive window (starts at 3). By all means, drop by with your own thoughts during the game. It's one extra click, but with the benefit of more interactivity. I might C/P the comments back here later for convenience's sake.
edit: thanks to Juan for the streamer link. http://media.myfoxny.com/live/My9Live.html
